|Description:||The purpose of this course is to address the importance of licensees understanding their relationship with consumers. An accurate understanding of the relationship enables licensees to explain it to consumers and manage their expectations. In this course we will briefly identify the licensee's role from first contact to a relationship as a transaction broker or agent with more in-depth identification of issues surrounding disclosed dual agency.
Objectives: Licensees completing this course will be able to:
1. Identify their relationship with buyers and sellers during the solicitation of business and as clients or customers.
2. Identify the responsibilities and limitations of disclosed dual agency in accordance with Maine brokerage law and rule.
THIS IS THE CORE COURSE FOR BROKER AND ASSOCIATE BROKER LICENSE ACTIVATIONS AND RENEWALS AFTER 10/1/16. THE CORE COURSE FOR ALL DESIGNATED BROKERS IS A DIFFERENT COURSE CALLED "CORE COURSE FOR DESIGNATED BROKERS -2" It is highly recommended that each licensee attend both courses for credit and general knowledge!
