Are you a Procrastinator?

Are you a Procrastinator?

Is your motto “why do today what can be done tomorrow”?  Do you work better under pressure?  Are you someone who consistently puts things off until the last minute?  You might be a procrastinator!

People procrastinate in order to avoid the pain of doing something they don’t want to do.  Procrastination usually doesn’t work and often creates more problems in the long run. To beat procrastination you need to manage the job!

 

1. Break the job into doable tasks. Take a humongous project, like cleaning out your garage, and break it into specific, practical, doable tasks.

2. Set a reasonable deadline for each task. Don’t set yourself up for failure but also give yourself somewhat of a challenge.

3. Hold yourself accountable. This will dramatically increase your productivity. Reward yourself for a job well done.

 

Here’s an example for cleaning out your messy garage:
