Important Exam Information
Many students report that about 20% of the questions on the Pearson VUE Maine Sales Agent Exam seem unrelated to the course content—and they’re right. Pearson VUE includes 5-15 unscored questions among the 120 total. These may have little to do with Maine law, may have more than one correct answer, or no correct answer at all. This is intentional. Pearson VUE uses these questions as a security feature to prevent memorization and to maintain the integrity of the exam.
All you need is a 75% to pass—and that’s all you’ll know. You won’t receive a score higher than that, even if you earned one. If you're a perfectionist, this may be frustrating—but don’t let unusual questions shake your confidence.
Historically, about 66% of test takers pass on their first attempt. That statistic includes many people who didn’t complete this course and some who attempted the exam without studying. Stick with your preparation, trust your training, and stay focused—you’ve got this!
