Integrity and Anti-Cheating Policy

Integrity refers to the adherence to moral and ethical principles, ensuring honesty in all actions. An anti-cheating policy emphasizes the importance of genuine effort and original work, preventing dishonest behaviors such as plagiarism or receiving external help in evaluations. Instituting such a policy is essential to maintain a fair and credible learning environment, ensuring that all students are evaluated based on their authentic abilities and efforts.

  • The Maine Real Estate Commission may audit our institution and students.
  • Ensure you complete all assigned tasks, including content, activities, quizzes, videos, and readings.
  • Your course access, duration of video views, and other interactions are monitored and recorded.
  • Maintain utmost honesty throughout the course. Your instructors can track your online activity and ensure you've engaged with all materials.
  • All course activities, quizzes, and exams must be completed independently without external help.
  • If found cheating, The Real Estate Learning Group® will withhold your completion certificate, and there will be no refunds for the course fee.

Course Behavior Expections

The Real Estate Learning Group is committed to maintaining a respectful, distraction-free, and learning-centered environment. By registering for a course, you agree to the following behavior policies. Participation is a privilege and may be revoked at our discretion.

In an academic setting, appropriate classroom behavior for adults is pivotal in fostering a conducive learning environment for all participants. Adult learners, with their diverse experiences and perspectives, are expected to model a high standard of conduct that reflects respect for both the educational setting and the shared goals of the class. This involves being punctual, prepared, and engaged in the learning process, while also demonstrating professional courtesy to instructors and peers.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Punctuality: Arrive on time and ready to participate.
  • Attend Every Class: Notify your instructor in advance of any emergency or illness. Missed sessions must be made up within 6 months and may require rescheduling to a future course.
  • Preparation and Engagement: Complete readings and assignments in advance and actively participate in discussions and activities.
  • Respect: Show consideration for the opinions and contributions of others and the instructor.
  • Professionalism: Maintain a courteous and professional demeanor.
  • Communication: Express thoughts clearly and constructively.
  • Focus: Avoid distractions, such as using phones or other electronic devices for non-class-related activities.
  • Recording Policy: Do not record lectures or discussions without explicit permission.
  • Be Considerate
Participate, but allow space for others to learn. Keep comments on-topic and avoid dominating discussions.

  • Support Fellow Students
Respect differing perspectives and learning styles.

  • Classroom Access
Only registered students may attend. Please make arrangements in advance for nursing infants.

  • Service Animals
In compliance with the Maine Human Rights Act, service animals are welcome in our classrooms.

Livestream / Zoom Etiquette

In accordance with TRELG policies approved by the Maine Real Estate Commission:

“An internet live class shall have live video and audio feeds of all participants that will allow real-time visualization and communication among all participants, and the Course instructor shall only issue a completed course affidavit to a live-class attendee who was present by video and audio throughout the entirety of the course.”

Please treat livestream classes the same as an in-person classroom environment.

Expectations During Class

  • Be logged into Zoom and on-screen at least 5 minutes before class begins.
  • Keep your camera on for the entire course.
  • Mute your microphone unless instructed to speak.
  • Use the raise hand feature when appropriate.
  • Cell phone use is discouraged unless approved by the instructor or administrator.
  • Do not drive or travel during class. Participants observed driving will be removed from the session.
  • Remain seated with your device stationary throughout the class.
  • Avoid side conversations or distractions during instruction.
