Associate Broker Course

The Associate Broker Course provides a swift refresher of Sales Agent fundamentals before diving deeper into key real estate concepts tailored for Maine licensees. No textbooks, state, or national exams required.

Course Highlights:

  • 60 Hours of Online Learning
    Engage with videos, audio, and case studies, completing knowledge checks with a 75% passing score. Work at your pace, guided by our training roadmap.
  • Final Exam
    After completing the course and submitting your Field Experience Form, take an 80-question, multiple-choice in-person exam at our South Portland center or with an approved proctor at a location near you. Passing score: 75%.
  • 40-Hour Field Experience
    Apply your knowledge under the supervision of your designated broker or their appointee, completing practical tasks crucial to your learning.

The Associate Broker Course is online, self-study, and self-paced. It contains 60 hours of learning and is approved by the Maine Real Estate Commission. You have up to 6 months to complete the learning activities, which include videos featuring Maine real estate experts, audio snippets, and case studies. Test your comprehension with Knowledge Checks and Quizzes. The Final Exam needs to be proctored in person at a location convenient to you. Please reach out to us for additional information about the educational requirements for applying for the Associate Broker license.

**Effective October 26, 2025:
All Associate Broker candidates must submit a Core Course Certificate of Completion with their license application, in addition to the Associate Broker Course Certificate.
