Make sure the name on your certificate matches the name on your identification. Minor differences, such as a middle initial, are generally acceptable. Larger discrepancies, such as a nickname or name change, should be corrected before exam day.

Your Course Completion Certificate is valid for one year. Within that year, you must pass both the General and Maine portions of the Pearson VUE licensing exam.

The Pearson VUE Content Outlines are one of the most valuable study resources available because they show you exactly what topics are tested and approximately how many questions you can expect from each area. Rather than studying every topic equally, you can prioritize the subjects that carry the most weight on the exam. Questions are classified into three cognitive levels: Knowledge, which tests your ability to recall facts and definitions; Application, which requires you to apply what you've learned to a real-world real estate scenario; and Analysis, which asks you to evaluate information, compare choices, and determine the best course of action. A Final Word About the Pearson VUE Exam

Many students report that about 20% of the questions on the Pearson VUE Maine Sales Agent Exam seem unrelated to the material covered in the course—and they're right. Pearson VUE includes 5–15 unscored questions among the 120 total exam questions. These testing items are used to evaluate potential future exam questions and help maintain the security and integrity of the licensing exam. Some may seem unfamiliar, may not relate specifically to Maine law, or may even appear to have more than one correct answer. Because these questions are mixed in with the scored questions, you won't know which ones they are. That statistic includes many individuals who did not complete a prelicense course or who attempted the exam with little or no preparation.
